There is an extraordinary amount of handwork packed into this Floral Sacred Heart. Handmade in Haiti from recycled steel oil drums, the piece transforms discarded metal into an intricate symbol of love and devotion.
At the center is a raised, dimensional heart surrounded by a wreath of individually hand-tooled flowers. Above the heart, elongated flame-like forms create the distinctive radiant crown associated with Sacred Heart-inspired folk art.
Look closely and you’ll see hundreds of tiny marks created by the artisan's hand. The dots, lines, flower centers and borders are individually hammered and embossed using simple hand tools. No two pieces will be exactly alike.
